Established in 1993 Cross River Ferries is operated and owned by the Doyle Shipping Group, based in Cobh.

Today, two ferries the “Glenbrook” and the “Carrigaloe” service the River Lee connecting the communities on both sides of the harbour.  The ferries can carry 200 passengers and 27 cars. The crossing from Glenbrook to Carrigaloe takes 5 minutes and is a convenient and pleasant way to avoid traffic congestion around Cork City.

The service operates 7 days a week including Bank Holidays, from 6:30am to 09.30pm each day. The crossing from Glenbrook to Carrigaloe takes 5 minutes. The ferries run daily and reservations are not required. Payment taken onboard ferry.
